In 2025, on the initiative of the Odesa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, together with the Embassy of Italy in Ukraine, the Honorary Consulate of Italy in Odesa, and the Italian Institute of Culture in Ukraine, the I International Opera Singers Competition “Recitar Cantando” will take place — a project implemented with the support of the “Intellectual Capital” Charitable Foundation and Huxley.media.
Purpose of the competition:
– To discover and support young talented opera singers from around the world;
– To preserve and promote global and Ukrainian opera art;
– To create new opportunities for the career growth of young performers;
– To foster the integration of Ukrainian art into the global cultural context.
The jury of the competition is chaired by:
– Nicola Colabianchi (Italy), Superintendent of La Fenice Theater
– Liudmyla Monastyrska (Ukraine), People’s Artist of Ukraine, soloist of the National Opera
Among the jury members are leading conductors, maestri, and artistic directors of theaters and festivals from Italy, Japan, Austria, the USA, Germany, and Ukraine.

– Round 1: September 16, 2025 (online)
– Round 2: September 24–25, 2025
– Round 3: September 26, 2025
– Gala concert and awards ceremony: September 27, 2025
