The “Intellectual Capital” Charitable Foundation supported the creation of the play “Later Will Be Later” at the “Suzirya” Theater.
The play “Later Will Be Later” is a profound dramatic story that emerged from veteran short prose and unfolds against the backdrop of the war in Donbas. Based on the short story “Atonement” by Borys Maksymenko and adapted for the stage by Kateryna Stepankova, the production combines a relevant theme, a humanistic message, and high artistic quality.
The project is supported by the “Intellectual Capital” Foundation as an example of contemporary Ukrainian drama that shapes the country’s cultural front, raises vital issues of choice, dignity, and empathy, and has the potential for further development: permanent repertory performances, nationwide tours, and charity shows in frontline cities.
The premiere took place in December 2021 on Volunteer Day at the Kyiv “Suzirya” Theater.
The production features renowned Ukrainian actors: Svitlana Orlichenko, Andriy Mostrenko, Bohdan Zhdanov, Viktor Zhdanov, and Daryna Stepankova. It was created with the participation of artists Taras Tkachenko and Iryna Horshkova, composer Andriy Shust, and movement director Oleksii Skliarenko.
The director of the production is Kateryna Stepankova.
