The “Intellectual Capital” Charitable Foundation contributed to the financing of this artistic project.
“The Gates of Passions” is a monumental bronze composition, 3.8 meters high and weighing 2.5 tons, which will become a landmark entrance to the Greek Park in Odesa. The portal creates an optical illusion: from afar it looks like a leaf ornament, but up close it reveals volumetric human figures symbolizing the dynamics of passions.
The philosophical concept of the project is rooted in the ancient Greek understanding of passions as a combination of soulful desires and errors of reason. The “Gates” embody the life path with its trials and transformations — passing through them symbolizes spiritual enlightenment.
Project initiator — Mykhailo Reva, Honored Sculptor of Ukraine.
Project goal — to create a landmark art object that unites aesthetics and meaning, enriching spiritually everyone who interacts with it.
Target audience — residents and visitors of Odesa, tourists, philosophers, art connoisseurs, and all those who seek depth in form.
The drawings and a full-scale 3D model are already completed, and production at the factory is about to begin.
